- students come first
- students should be taught the basics with room for growth
- schools should emphasize intellectual and moral standards
- learning is continuous
- students play an active role in their learning process (constructivist learning)
- every student is an indvidual
- students should be given the opportunity to become well rounded and creative
- knowledge can be sustained through a rigorous curriculum and comes in many forms
- technology is a vital part of learning and should be used at every opportunity
- there is room for extra-curricular activities and meaningful field trips
- students should be treated fairly in every aspect-from testing to classroom management to grading
- there should be individualized as well as group work
- in positive behavior management
- parents should have an active role in student learning
- my educational philosophy should have room to grow and change accordingly
